As a landlord, you are legally responsible for the safety of your tenants in relation to gas safety. By law you must:

• Repair & maintain gas pipework, flues & appliances in safe condition
• Ensure an annual gas safety check on each appliance & flue
• Keep a record of each safety check

Carbon Monoxide Alarms

The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends the use of CO alarms as one useful precaution to give tenants advance warning of CO in the property. Importantly alarms should not be regarded as a replacement for regular maintenance and safety checks by a Gas Safe registered engineer, like GT Gas Services.
